Foreseeing the future ahead

Do you believe in fortune telling?
Would you risk your work or something important to you that you have built from scratch just like that after hearing some to fortune teller that your work or your important thing is not right for you?
Would you do that?

Do you want to know your future?
Would you do anything to peek inside your future life?
What would you do if it turn out to be bad?

I believe that most of us have the curiosity of knowing the future, knowing what would happen next, knowing what would our life turn out to be. I too have that feeling as well. Knowing the future looks promising, but after we were told about the future (don’t know whether it’s true or not — nobody knows for sure about the future, right?) we must bear the consequences to start thinking about it no matter it’s good or bad.

This reminds me of story about Adam and Eve from the Bible. Perhaps why God wouldn’t want Adam & Eve to eat “the fruit of good & evil” is because they would worry less if they know less (this is aside from what was written in the Bible). I’m not an expert in these stuffs, just writing about my mind here. But wouldn’t you agree with me that if we know less then we would worry less?

Is the future is fixed already?
I don’t think so. Perhaps whoever that has the ability to foresee the future and then telling it to someone else has the chance of changing the future. To me future is not yet happened, so it still can be changed according to our doing starting from now. What we’ve done – or not – shaped our time, our surrounding, our life right now. That’s why I believe that we could still change our future (in a positive  mean) by doing good deeds — we reap what we sow, do good and eventually it’ll be good.

Don’t get me wrong, I do read about zodiacs and chinese zodiacs in local newspaper every week and wondering what would be happening next week according to the writer. I believe all the good things written there would be happening to me sometime in the future, as for bad things, I tend to not thinking about it and just trying to do my best living my life day by day. Fear not, we have our mighty God who knows what’s best for us. He’ll do what He thinks best for us. Have faith and stop worrying so much about our future.
